Family Photographer | Forks of the Credit, Ontario

I was honoured to photograph Alice in her home at the Forks of the Credit. Her daughter, Lynda, wanted to capture the fall colours that make the area famous as well as some images of Alice to share with her family, who live as far away as Sweden and haven't seen their childhood home in years.

A train full of tourist viewing the leaves passed us just as we entered the Forks of the Credit area.

Alice shared many stories with me when I was visiting including some of her adventures as a WREN, a woman in the Women's Royal Canadian Naval Service where she was a messenger. This meant that she was one of the only women allowed to wear pants to perform her duties instead of a skirt. Above she is holding a photo of herself at the age of 18 when she entered the service.

What a wonderful gift these images will be for her family.
