Family Photographer | Burlington, Ontario

A sweet girl, a sweet pup and mom and dad! I really enjoyed my time with this great family while shooting their portrait session. Little Lauren was all smiles and loved the beautiful flowers (a.k.a. dandelions)! You can see in many of these photos that a portrait session with a little one is sometimes all about the chase, good thing I can run around and shoot at the same time! Enjoy some of the fun we had that day:

Of course a blog post just wouldn't be the same without a before and after sample. Just roll your mouse over the image below to see how it looked before it was processed by me in Photoshop. The photo shoot doesn't end when the shutter stops clicking, it really is important to have your favourite images edited by me in Photoshop, especially if you want to display them for the world to see!

Baby Photographer | Acton, Ontario

Just a little hello from me today! 5 quick months have passed since Jay and I welcomed our sweet Shelby to our family. Since we have become a family of 3 life has changed quite a bit, and we love it! Shelby makes us smile every day and we are amazed with each new thing that she does. Right now we are starting to introduce some solid foods and boy that can be messy! She is still getting the hang of how her tongue works to move that food around, even though it is only pureed rice cereal. Any moms with tips on starting solids, please feel free to leave me some advice in the comments section below, I am a little nervous!

Here's a photo of our sweet pea at 5 months

Hillsburgh Minor Softball Player Portraits | Hillsburgh, Ontario

I have enjoyed playing baseball around the Erin and Hillsburgh area my whole life. I still play twice a week. I just love hanging out at the ball diamond and watching the players in the Hillsburgh Minor Softball Association develop a love for the sport as well. My 8 year old niece caught a pop-fly this week, boy did I cheer! So much that I forgot to take a picture!

I was fortunate enough to be asked to photograph the players and teams in the league this year. There are 108 players in the league between the ages of 3 and 18. Last night I hung out with the Midget Girls team for a bit and took their photos. They told me they're a good team and let me tell you, as soon as the silliness of pictures was over, they got super serious warming up for their game.

Not only are they serious ball players, they do it with style and make-up too! Check them out!

I couldn't do a blog post without a before and after to show you the difference between a proof image and an edited image. Just roll your mouse over the image below to see what the picture looked like straight from my camera, before my magic Photoshop touch!

We did a traditional team photo, but they wouldn't be adolescent girls if they didn't ask me for a silly one too would they:

Mommy and Baby Portraits | Erin, Ontario

Since having Shelby I have joined a couple of baby groups, some would say I joined a lot of baby groups! Some weeks I have a different group every day! I have really enjoyed being a part of the Baby Steps group in Erin. I thought I would give back (since all these wonderful groups are free) by offering a portrait day with mommies and babies. After all, we all know who takes all the photos at home, mom right? She is probably rarely in the photos herself. I thought every mom should have a photo with their babe.

We all got together on what had to be the hottest day of the year so far (32 degrees Celsius I think!) and I spent about 5 minutes with each mom and babe. Each mom picked her favourite shot to keep, check them out!

And I saved a before and after shot for the end as usual. Just roll your mouse over Sandra and Grayson's cute faces below to see what the image looked like straight out of the camera, before editing in Photoshop.

So we had so much fun that I decided to do this again with another baby group! Stay tuned for the photos from my Acton Mother Goose group!
